I use Google Analytics to work out how many people use this site and what they look at the most. This has several benefits:
It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that all this work and money has been worthwhile
It lets me know what people find interesting, and that means I can write more of that stuff
It means the site will still be here next year when my hosting comes up for renewal
